Alaska officially became the 49th state on January 3, 1959.  Alaska has been called America’s Last Frontier. There are more than 3 million lakes in Alaska.  The nation’s two largest national forests are located in Alaska. The Tongass in Southeast includes 16.8 million acres, and the Chugach in South central has 4.8 million acres.  With all that said Alaska has much to offer from Hunting and Fishing to Skiing and Snowboarding.  Check out other hotels in Alaska if one of the major cities isn’t what your looking for.
